NutScan is developed by Alpha Pariah Studios. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use the NutScan mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Camera images: When you perform a scan, the image captured by your camera is temporarily processed to identify the nut or bolt size. Images are sent securely to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis and are not stored on our servers.

Scan history: Your scan results and associated images are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to your scan history.

Purchase data: If you purchase the unlimited scan unlock (£1.99), this transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store payment information.

We do not collect your name, email address, location data, device identifiers, or any personally identifiable information. NutScan does not require you to create an account.

Anthropic AI: Images are processed by Anthropic's API to identify nut and bolt sizes. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. Images are not retained by Anthropic beyond the immediate analysis.

Amazon Associates: NutScan includes affiliate links to Amazon. When you click a buy button, you are directed to Amazon's website. Amazon's privacy policy applies to any interactions on their platform. We may earn a small commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

Google Play: The app is distributed via Google Play. Google's privacy policy applies to the download and purchase process.

All scan history is stored locally on your device using Android's secure local storage. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. We have no access to this data.

NutScan is intended for use by adults and tradespeople. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of NutScan after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
